Each year, the claiming company follows a number of steps to close the claim year before 1 April of the subsequent year.

Steps
Companies delivering renewable energy to the transport sector:
- Check, in a timely manner, if the correct person in the correct role (account representative or approver) are linked to the account in the REV. Changes can be submitted to the NEa using a Request for Change form.
- Enter the deliveries of renewable energy for the previous year no later than 28 February (29 February in leap years).
- By no later than 31 March, have their claims verifier approve the claims in the REV and submit the Verification Declaration Delivered Renewable Energy to the NEa.
Claim status
Claiming companies register their claims for the previous year up to 28 February at the latest. Claims with the status ‘saved’ or ‘to be approved’ have not yet been registered. A claim is registered when it has the status ‘HBEs credited’.
Selecting a claims verifier
Claiming companies are to have claims for the previous year verified by no later than 31 March. The verifier indicates that the claims have been verified in the REV. The claims verifier is linked to the claiming company’s account to do this. A claims verifier can be selected as soon as the verification institution has an account in the REV.
Submitting a verification declaration
The verification declaration can be sent to the NEa electronically.
