The NEa has created a guidance document to support shipping companies in the process of creating EU MRV monitoring plans for their vessels. This document shares the insights and experience the NEa has gathered up till now with the review of a significant number of diverse monitoring plans.
The document has sections with specific guidance for various procedures, common issues and solutions and an FAQ. Furthermore, the document highlights the regulatory demands upon which the monitoring plan is based, covering the minimum requirements and principles to describing procedures.
