Applying for or modifying Energy for Transport accounts

Would you like to apply for an account in the Energy for Transport Registry (REV: Register Energie voor Vervoer) or change details on the account?

Applying for an REV account

Would your company like to claim its first delivery of renewable energy before the next year-end closing? If so, please submit you application well in advance.

Please use the REV Account Application form (Rekeningaanvraag REV).

You will be notified of the outcome of the procedure and the documentation that is required within ten working days of submission. The processing period for an application depends on a number of factors, but bear in mind that an application for an account with a claiming facility will take a couple of weeks at least.

Changing or closing an account

Please use the REV Account Request for Change form (Rekeningwijziging REV) to amend the details on your account.

Please use the REV Account Request for Change of Facilities form  (Rekeningwijziging faciliteiten REV) to enable or disable the claiming facility.

Application for an account with claiming facility

The requirements for an application for an account with claiming facility depend on the type of renewable energy you would like to claim.

Account with claiming facility for liquid biofuel

Step 1:

Enter the details of your company and the designated account representatives in the application form.

This includes the following:

  • A summary of connections containing, per location, the name of the location, address, postcode and town/city, and the name of the voluntary scheme used for that location.
  • A valid proof of certification from the voluntary scheme per location. Documents for several locations should be combined into a single document.

Step 2:

After the form has been submitted, you will receive an email from the NEa within ten working days containing a summary of the necessary documents. This will include at least the following documents:

  • Colour copies of the passports of the proposed account representatives,
  • Colour copy of the passport of the authorised representative who will sign the application form,
  • Proof of an active bank account in the EEA.

Account with claiming facility for electricity or gas

Step 1:

Enter the details of your company and the designated account representatives in the application form and enclose a number of documents. This includes the following:

  • A summary of the connections that will be used to exclusively deliver electricity or gas to road vehicles which you wish to claim, including location (address, postcode and town/city), EAN, grid company.
  • Written permission for the NEa to request connection details from the grid company(s) concerned. The letter should be in the following vein: 'I grant the NEa permission to request and see the details in the Central Connection Registry relating to my connections as referred to in paragraph 2.1 of the Gas and Electricity Code. This concerns details of the connections that I have specified in this application for an account, as well as the connections that I enter in the registry and that are relevant to the NEa for performing its supervision tasks within the framework of the renewable energy for transport system.’

This statement should be signed by an authorised signatory and should include the relevant company details such as the Chamber of Commerce number. 

Step 2:

After the form has been submitted, you will receive an email from the NEa within ten working days containing a summary of the necessary documents. This will include at least the following:

  • Colour copies of the passports of the proposed account representatives,
  • Colour copy of the passport of the authorised representative who will sign the application form,
  • Proof of an active bank account in the EEA.
